COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The snow Branch County received Wednesday night and Thursday should stick around, as temperatures dropped overnight and will stay cold for Friday.
Meteorologists with the National Weather Service Northern Indiana office, which covers Branch County, say be sure to wear some hearty winter clothes today as it will be quite cold with highs primarily in the middle to upper teens.
Some light lake effect snow will come to an end, with clearing skies by late afternoon. The clouds will be slowest to decrease over southern Lower Michigan, extreme northern Indiana and northwest Ohio. After a cold day Friday, look for a warming to near normal temperatures for the weekend.
A weak system moving through the Upper Great Lakes will bring just a chance of rain and snow Saturday afternoon and evening. Dry weather returns briefly for Sunday, then a stronger system brings rain and snow Monday into Tuesday.
