STEVENSVILLE, MI. – (WTVB) – Nick Buchanan defeated teammate Matt Gipple on a technical fall to win the 171 pound championship on Saturday at the M.H.S.A.A. Division Two individual wrestling districts held at Lakeshore High School.
With his three wins on Saturday, Buchanan improved his record for this season to 40-1.
Beside Buchanan and Gipple, the Cardinals managed to get three others onto the individual regionals at Vicksburg next Saturday.
Hashed Abdullah finished third at 103 pounds while Marshall Hoard was fourth at 125 pounds and Cody Pike was fourth at 189 pounds.
