BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Presidential politics in the State of Michigan will be heating up over the next few weeks with the Michigan Presidential Primary set for March 10, 2020.
The voter registration deadline is next Monday, February 24.
The Democratic Presidential Primary ballot has 15 candidates including Joe Biden, Mike Bloomberg, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren. Some of the candidates on the ballot have already dropped out of the race.
Four Republicans including President Trump are on the Michigan Presidential Primary ballot.
Some Branch County voters will be deciding local school funding issues.
Butler Township residents who are in the Litchfield Community School District will be voting on a sinking fund millage proposal.
Hillsdale County Intermediate School District voters in Algansee, Butler and California Townships will be casting ballots on a 20 year millage proposal while Sherwood Township voters in the Glen Oaks Community College District will be voting on an additional millage request for five years in order to fund campus improvements.
