ALBION, MI (WTVB) – A 50-year-old Detroit man arrested in connection with an Albion stabbing death was released from jail last Friday without appearing for an arraignment in Calhoun County District Court.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that Calhoun County Prosecutor David Gilbert received a warrant request on Friday but found there was not enough evidence to authorize charges.
This apparently puts investigators for the Albion Department of Public Safety back at square on in the death of 66-year-old Howard Embry.
Police found Embry stabbed to death in his home on Chestnut Street. No further information has been provided by the Albion Department of Public Safety.
