COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A winter storm is expected to hit Branch County with five to seven inches of snow just days after there was sunshine and temperatures near 50 degrees.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for southern Michigan, northern Indiana and northwest Ohio from Tuesday evening through early Thursday morning.
National Weather Service forecasters most of the snow is expected to fall on Wednesday.
In a statement issued by the weather service at midday on Tuesday, forecasters said travel could be very difficult because of the storm. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes and also may extend into Thursday.
Travel will likely be hampered late Wednesday as gusty winds will cause blowing and drifting snow.
