COLDWATER, MI. – (WTVB) – The Branch I.S.D. Board of Education approved the common school calender for 2020-2021 during their meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
Staff will report back to work after the summer break on August 18th. After three professional development days, the first day of classes for students will be on Monday, August 24th.
As usual, there will be a two week break for the holidays during the weeks of December 21st and 28th.
The 180th and final day for students will be on June fourth, 2021.
It’s still subject to change based on other local school calendars.
In other business, the board approved a request from Superintendent Kris Jenkins to extend the contracts of 11 administrators by two years to June of 2022.
Jenkins said there were no areas of concern for any of the administrators and they were all exceeding expectations in their job performances.
