COLDWATER, MI. – (WTVB) – The Branch County Community Theatre’s will be performing this year’s winner of the Robert J. Pickering Award for playwriting excellence next week at the Tibbits Opera House.
The play is entitled “The ABC’s of LGBT at the Rainbow Valley B ‘n B” and it was written by Phil Darg who has authored more than two dozen plays and musicals.
It centers around a conservative Pastor and his insecure wife who arrive at a Vermont bed and breakfast to take in the “fall colors.” But a snowstorm strands them at the inn with its gay owners and lesbian guest couple. During the storm, they openly express their vastly different opinions on LGBT issues while they examine their own relationships.
This subject matter may not be suitable for young audiences.
The play will be presented on March 5th, 6th and 7th at 7:30 p.m. each evening.
