SCHOOLCRAFT, MI (WTVB) – A Michigan State Police trooper from the Marshall Post was injured Thursday morning when a vehicle struck his patrol unit as he was working a traffic accident on U.S. 131 near the St. Joseph-Kalamazoo County line.
The State Police reported on social media that Trooper Scott Silkworth suffered non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle hit his cruiser head on.
No other injuries were reported.
State Police once again remind motorists that under state law, if you see a first responder pulled over with their lights flashing, slow down and if you can do it safely, move over.
