BATTLE CREEK, MI. – (WTVB) – The Coldwater Boys Swim Team finished tenth at the SMAC conference championship held at Battle Creek Central on Friday and Saturday.
The Cards swam very well with almost everyone swimming their personal bests. Jacob Taylor broke the team’s record in the 100 Backstroke with a 1:00.74. Taylor also qualified to swim in the finals finishing 15th in the 50 Freestyle and 11th in the 100 Backstroke.
Both of Coldwater’s divers also qualified for the finals with Cole Neitzka finishing eighth and Luke Larr finishing 12th.
Every single swimmer for Coldwater swam in the finals in the relays. The A relay in the 200 Medley with Kohen Losinski, Dale Fry, Cole Neitzka, and Jacob Roberts finished 16th. The B relay with Dakota McDaniel, Tyler Stritzinger, Wyatt Johnson, and Rhiley Harvey finished 20th.
In the 200 Freestyle, the A relay of Jacob Taylor, Dale Fry, Jacob Roberts, and Cole Neitzka finished 11th. The B relay with Luke Grines, Luke Larr, Tyler Stritzinger and Dakota McDaniel finished 18th.
In the 400 Freestyle, the A relay of Cole Neitzka, Jacob Roberts, Kohen Losinski and Jacob Taylor finished 16th while the B relay of Luke Grines, Luke Larr, Rhiley Harvey and Wyatt finished 19th.
Cole Neitzka and Luke Larr will continue with their season at the diving regionals this Thursday in Hamilton.
