BRONSON, MI. – (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council approved an upgrade to the City Hall security camera system on Monday night.
After getting a nearly $2,000 grant from the city’s property and liability insurance carrier, a low bid of $3,971 from ASI Security was approved.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says the project will include four interior cameras and three on the outside.
Two of the outside cameras would have high zoom capacity to cover the parking lot area and hopefully a good portion of the new Farmer’s Market.
The third exterior camera will cover the drop box, the entrance door and the walkway/parking area next to the building.
ASI Security most recently installed the camera system at Greenwalk Park.
In other business, the Council approved a $35,000 bid from Dan Hershberger Construction for the new Farmer’s Market Pavilion. It’s hoped the work will be done before May.
