COLDWATER – (WTVB) – Branch County Democratic Party Chair David McMillan has announced changes to their meeting scheduled for next Wednesday night, March 18, due to the recent developments in the spread of coronavirus that have been announced by Governor Whitmer.
While the meeting next Wednesday will be conducted as scheduled at the Coldwater Township Hall, a planned “Pot-Luck” supper has been cancelled.
In an abundance of caution, the sharing of food at a public gathering might expose attendees to contagious illnesses in the environment. In addition, coffee or snacks will not be provided at the Branch County Democratic Party meetings until further notice for the same reason. Those who attend can bring their favorite non-alcoholic refreshment.
McMillan further informed attendees that the group will follow recommendations of the C.D.C., the N.I.H. and local health officials by implementing “social distancing” at all future meetings until further notice.
This includes no hand-shaking or personal touching greetings along with other aspects outlined in the C.D.C. guidelines.
