BROOKLYN, MI. – (WTVB) – The season came to an end for the Bronson Vikings on Tuesday night as they were beaten by Byron 58-21 in the Division Three girls basketball regional semifinals at Brooklyn Columbia Central.
Byron showed why they were ranked eighth in Division Three in the final Michigan Associated Press Girls Basketball poll as they raced to a 43-7 halftime lead.
Keona Salesman led Bronson with eight points and 11 rebounds. The Vikings finished 15-9.
Byron will take a 23-1 record into Thursday’s regional title game against fourth ranked Michigan Center. Michigan Center defeated Jackson Lumen Christi 61-28 in the other regional semifinal at Columbia Central on Tuesday.
