Diana Leigh Bisel left this world a little darker when she left us on March 5, 2020.
Born June 8, 1976 to Julia and Darold Bisel, she spent her childhood in Coldwater, MI.
She joined the gymnastics team and Future Farmers of America (FFA). It was on her senior trip to the Porcupine Mountains in the Upper Peninsula that she found her love of mountains. After attending Adrian College, she embarked on a new adventure: moving west in a Dodge Neon with another friend to Seattle, WA in November at 25 years old. There she found what her small rural town couldn't give her; mountains, baking, cooking, adventure, and Patrick Ellis.
Di was enamored with Mount Rainier and was an admirer of penguins. She was an avid hiker, hammock swinging, sunglasses loving, music worshiping, tea enthusiast who had a helping hand for those she loved. She enjoyed visiting the Turtle Park, seeing otters swim, talking about pikas and birds, picking on her family and friends, being in nature, and spending time with her favorite dogs Archie, Mojo, Oliver, Sammy, Yoda, and Zoe.
Di is survived by her boyfriend Patrick Ellis in Kirkland, WA, her mother, Julia (Jerry) Schultz in Coldwater, MI, her father Darold Bisel in Coldwater, MI, her brother Duane Bisel in Coldwater, MI, her sisters Jill (Corey) Murphy in Coldwater, MI and Nicole (Justin) Davies in Emmett, ID, and 3 loving nieces Lily, Madison, and Kennedy in Emmett, ID.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and infant brother, Charles.
A private memorial will take place at a later date in Kirkland, WA. A memorial will also take place on April 2nd at the Oasis of Love Church in Coldwater, MI.
Visitation is from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Food and fellowship will immediately follow
