BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Kellogg Community College President Dr. Adrien Bennings has announced that due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the heightened concern in the local medical community, all Kellogg Community College facilities are closed effective at 12 noon Wednesday and there will be no more face-to-face instruction for the rest of the Spring semester.
This closure affects the North Avenue campus and Regional Manufacturing Technology Center in Battle Creek, the Fehsenfeld Center in Hastings, the Grahl Center in Coldwater and the Eastern Academic Center in Albion.
Employees will have access to KCC facilities until 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning to retrieve any personal items.
The Spring 2020 semester is continuing, albeit in an online-only format with instructors working remotely. Bennings says the plan as of now is to reopen their facilities to employees on Monday, April 6th.
Bennings adds the university will closely monitor the situation and update the College’s facility status as needed.

Only KCC employees who have been deemed to be essential personnel will be allowed into any College buildings and even those employees will have limited access.
All KCC employees, with the exception of temporary part-time employees, will continue to be paid.
