LITCHFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A man from Woodbine, Georgia was killed Tuesday night in Hillsdale County’s Litchfield Township when his pickup truck crashed into a tree.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says 77-year-old Carl Tressler was driving a 1995 Ford F-150 pickup south on Cranberry Lake Road north of West Litchfield Road just after 6:00 p.m. when the vehicle went out of control.
It then went off the road and crashed into a tree.
Tressler sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Litchfield Township Fire Department and the Reading Emergency Unit.
The Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the crash.
