Joe E. Farrell, 66, of Coldwater passed away Monday,
April 6, 2020 at his home under hospice care while surrounded by his loving
family.
A private graveside service will take place at Batavia
Cemetery. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Joe was born May 25, 1953 to Lorain and Joyce (Mills)
Farrell in Hillsdale. He was a hardworking man, spending his entire working
career at Quality Spring Togo in Coldwater. Joe worked in many different
positions, including in the paint room and as a machinist.
On March 16, 1974 he
married the love of his life, Deborah Vond of Burlington in Quincy.
Joe enjoyed spending time outdoors doing landscaping, hunting,
and fishing. He also liked to spend time looking at antiques and classic cars.
Joe was a Civil War buff. He spent time watching old movies, especially
Godzilla flicks. Joe was a classic rock
and roll listener who also played guitar.
His true joy in life was being around
his family, especially his grandchildren. Joe will be remembered for his quick
wit, love of all dogs, and being quiet.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Debbie
Farrell of Coldwater; his children Angela Farrell of Clarksville, TN and Chad Farrell
of Coldwater; his sister Patricia (Douglas) Wegener of Hudsonville, MI; his
grandchildren Jaimie, Kylee, Madison, Lilly, and Camden Farrell; his Quality
Springs extended family; and his dog “Olivia”.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; his infant son Joe L. Farrell; and his sisters Mary and Barbara.
