COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Prosecutors Office and the Sheriff’s Office have told the organizers of the Easter Sunday Religious Service at the Capri Drive-In that even though it appears to be allowable under the Governor’s current Executive Order, they are strongly encouraging the facilitators and participants to practice appropriate social distancing measures as suggested by the C.D.C. and Governor’s Office.
Under terms of the Executive Order, a place of religious worship when used for that purpose is exempt from the penalties for violations of the order.
The one hour service is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. and is being put on by the Branch County Ministerial Association.
Prosecutor Val White and Sheriff John Pollack are also encouraging the Capri Drive-In to limit participants as necessary to comply with social distancing measures.
They are also encouraging the Capri to limit participants to those of the local community to reduce the potential of exposure to COVID-19 from members of other communities who may have had more exposure to the virus than Branch County residents.
