NORTH WEBSTER, MI (WTVB) – The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Monday as winds are expected to gust between 45 and 50 miles per hour which could cause residents who are homebound because of the COVID-19 pandemic to lose their power.
The Wind Advisory is in effect from 5:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. for portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio.
Strong west to northwest winds of between 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are expected.
A brief period of gusts up to 50 miles per hour is possible Monday morning.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Drivers are asked to use extra caution especially if they are operating a high profile vehicle.
