NOTTAWA TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — One person is dead after a fiery crash in St. Joseph County.
It happened Tuesday evening in the 56,000 block of Covered Bridge Road near Leland Road in Nottawa Township.
St. Joseph County Sheriff deputies say 19-year-old Karly Alexandrea Bingaman of Three Rivers was traveling northbound on Covered Bridge when she went off the roadway and struck a tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A report from WOOD-TV states that an ATV was also involved in the crash and that the SUV burst into flames after the collision.
Authorities do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash but the incident is still under investigation.
