COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A suspect in a Butler Township home invasion which took place in September of 2019 is scheduled to appear for a preliminary exam in Branch County District Court on Wednesday.
27-year-old Jeffrey Virdell Elkins II of Coldwater is facing seven counts including charges of second degree home invasion, breaking and entering and stealing a firearm.
Bond was set at $25,000 during his arraignment.
Elkins was booked at the Branch County Jail on Friday after serving time in a Calhoun County case.
Michigan Department of Corrections records show he was convicted in Calhoun County on two counts of possession of firearms by a felon.
