HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – In conjunction with the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Communuty Health Agency, the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility has received testing supplies for every resident and staff member.
The testing began on Monday and will continue until completed. At least 11 residents at the facility have died after testing positive for COVID-19.
When results come in, officials at the facility hope to see all negatives but fully anticipate a spike in the number of asymptomatic positive results.
They say they are pulling out all of the stops to slow the spread of this virus.
Meanwhile, the Community Health Agency reported on Monday there have been 20 persons in Hillsdale County who have died after testing positive for COVID-19. There have been 66 cases in Branch County, 131 in Hillsdale County and 40 cases in St. Joseph County.
