COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The May 20 meeting for Women Who Care of Branch County has been cancelled because of the Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order.
In discussing options for the missed meeting, the steering committee has decided to “enhance” the group’s giving efforts.
Women Who Care of Branch County are setting up an account at the Branch County Community Foundation to be used for future “small donation requests”.
Diana Butler from Steering Commitee says with this new fund, they will be able to entertain and vote for the use of these funds as needed.
Any request that is $1,000 or less will be brought to the regular meetings with a short description of what the money will be used for. Members will then decide by separate ballot to approve or deny the request.
If members are in favor of this fund, and choose to fund it in lieu of the regular May meeting, send a $100 check made payable to: Branch County Community Foundation for the benefit of WWC of BC.
Checks should be sent to Marie Wilber at Nichols Accounting, 50 Division St, Coldwater, MI 49036.
