COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The cold snap which will be moving in for Mother’s Day weekend may rewrite the record book for low temperatures in Coldwater.
According to the website www.weatherbase.com, the record lows for Thursday and Friday were set in 2006. Thursday’s record low is 37 while Friday’s record low is 36.
The record low for Friday is expected to be smashed as the forecast is calling for the night time temperature to drop into the mid 20s.
Saturday and Sunday’s record lows were set in 2010. The record low for May 9 is 34 degrees while May 10’s record low is 30 degrees.
The unseasonably cool weather is expected to last at least into the middle part of next week.
