BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The storms that featured heavy rain and lightning at mid morning on Thursday apparently led to a power outage for nearly 1,800 Consumers Energy customers east of Coldwater.
According to the outage page on the Consumers Energy website, the outages were along North Fremont Road between Jonesville and East Central Roads and from the west side of Quincy to I-69.
The cause of the two hour outage was listed as “equipment failure”
Thursday morning’s storms maybe just the beginning as the National Weather Service says there is a slight risk of severe weather later in the afternoon and evening.
