COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Tibbits Opera House is forging ahead with a new professional summer theatre season after adjustments had to be made to the original schedule because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tibbits will now offer seven shows starting in July, presented as fully-staged reader’s theatre and concert-style performances with small casts.
The new season will still includes “Man of La Mancha” and “Love Letters” from the original schedule.
The season will open July 9 with “Sing Happy,” featuring the best Broadway hits from the past 50 years.
The family-friendly “A Popped Potpourri” will feature a mix of what has been offered from the Tibbits Popcorn Theatre starting July 16.
“When Radio was King,” which will recreate the golden age of radio will start July 23.
“Love Letters” featuring performances from different Tibbits Summer Theatre alumni will start July 30.
“Man of La Mancha” will start a two week run August 6.
“What Mad Pursuit” based on Noel Coward’s comic short story will begin August 20.
The season will close with “It Started with Eve” August 27.
