COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education approved the yearly evaluation of Superintendent Kris Jenkins Wednesday following an executive session that lasted for over an hour.
When the board came back into an open session, she was given an highly effective rating.
Jenkins was hired as the BISD Superintendent in March 2018.
Board President Ken Norton said they worked through the Michigan Association of School Board’s evaluation process and the conclusion was that Jenkins was in the highly effective category.
In other business, the district thanked ten staff members who were retiring. They were Branch Area Careers Center Program Managers Linda Bowers and Kristen Dogan, Head Start Early Education Teachers Tammy Butcher and Linda Fish, Para Professionals Dean Hines and Karen Speaker, CI Teacher John Howk, Resource Room Teacher Cheryl Jeffries, Secretary Christy Nagle and Early On CDE Tia Tobolske.
