BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB/WNWN) – The Calhoun County Public Health Department reported the 22nd COVID-19 related death in its jurisdiction on Wednesday.
It’s the first death from the virus to be reported in Calhoun County since two persons passed away last Friday.
The first coronavirus related death in Calhoun County was reported on April third.
The Public Health Department also says there have been 352 cases reported in Calhoun County since the first confirmed case was reported on March 21.
Of the 72 persons who had to go to a hospital, only six persons remain in hospital care in a Calhoun County medical care facility. A total of 309 persons who had to quarantine were later released with 258 removed from isolation.
Meanwhile, the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency reports St. Joseph County has passed Branch County for the second highest number of cases in the jurisdiction. Hillsdale County has had 170 cases followed by St. Joseph County with 109 and Branch County with 108.
