QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy High School Class of 2020 received their diplomas and were honored on Sunday with a community parade.
Quincy Community School officials still plan to have a formal graduation ceremony if the state eases back on the number of people in a gathering.
Sunday was the original date for the Graduation Ceremony. It has been reschedued for June 21 with backup dates of July 19 and August 2.
A survey of students found that many have other commitments this summer including some enlisting in the military. School officials wanted to make sure that they give everyone an opportunity to be honored on Sunday.
A car parade in honor of the Quincy Class of 2020 was held through the village with social distancing guidelines in place. All students and families were asked to stay in their vehicles throughout this event.
