COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency and Covered Bridge Healthcare have announced there will be COVID-19 testing available for residents in Branch, Hillsdale, and St. Joseph Counties this Friday, June 5 in Coldwater.
Covered Bridge Healthcare will be bringing their mobile healthcare van to the agency’s parking lot at 570 Marshall Road.
Testing will be done on a first come, first served basis between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m..
You are being asked to bring your state issued ID and insurance card if you have one.
There will be no co-pays or out-of-pocket expenses for the lab testing.
For those without insurance, a paycheck stub or unemployment information should be presented.
It takes about five days for the tests to come back.
Highest priority will be given to hospitalized patients with symptoms, any healthcare worker, first responder, or congregate care facility worker with symptoms and residents in any congregate care facility.

Meanwhile, the Calhoun County Public Health Department reports 694 people came out to be tested for COVID-19 this past Saturday at Opportunity High School in Albion. The health pepartment partnered with the National Guard, Michigan State Police, the City of Albion, the Albion Michigan Ministerial Association, the Albion NAACP, and others to host the event. Officials say the event exceeded the expected community turnout but it moved smoothly with minimum waiting.
