NEWTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WTVB/WNWN) — A crash involving a car and a semi loaded with milk injured three persons on Monday morning in Calhoun County.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened at around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of 11 Mile Road and B Drive South.
They say a southbound on 11 Mile Road stopped at the intersection then drove into the path of the westbound semi.
The driver of the semi tried to brake but struck the car.
The impact caused the semi to roll over.
A 45-year-old man who was a passenger in the car was airlifted with critical injuries. A 50-year-old woman who was driving the car was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The semi driver was also airlifted with what were described as serious injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the crash.
