BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – After opening up three weeks ago in defiance of Governor Whitmer’s COVID-19 guidelines, the Capri Drive-In in Coldwater is free to conduct business.
The Governor lifted the “Stay at Home” order Monday.
Non-tribal casinos, salons, barbershops, indoor theaters and gyms will remain closed as the state moves into Phase Four of the Governor’s six phase reopening plan.
Capri owner Tom Magocs said on Tuesday they will operate seven nights a week after this weekend and he once again asked customers to follow their COVID-19 compliance guidelines.

Complaints about violating the governor’s “Stay Home” executive order were made to the Michigan State Police when the Capri opened May 15.
After getting the State Police report, Branch County Prosecutor Val White decided not to prosecute locally saying the Michigan Attorney General’s Office would have to decide if the matter will be pursued legally.
