KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A pole barn was destroyed in a fire just north of the Michigan-Indiana state line Saturday in Branch County’s Kinderhook Township.
The fire at 134 East Adams Road was reported at around noon.
The Lakeland Fire Department responded. They got mutual aid from the Bronson, Michigan and Orland, Indiana fire departments.
Large, black smoke from the fire could be seen for several miles. The smoke could be seen on Lake James and by motorists on I-69.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unkwown.
Fire crews cleared the scene at about 3:15 p.m..
