COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a request from City Manager Keith Baker on Monday night to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with C2AE Engineers of Lansing for the reconstruction of Sauk River Drive.
The action came after the Michigan Department of Transportation gave the city a $375,000 grant out its Transportation Economic Development Fund last January.
The project would include preparing construction plans for the resurfacing of Sauk River Drive from South Michigan Avenue to South Willowbrook Road.
Part of the project would include widening the road and putting in a dedicated center turn lane.
The total cost of construction is over $495,000.
The contract for engineering services with C2AE would be for $110,000. The engineering of the project is considered part of the local match.
