COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency says there will be two separate opportunities this week for COVID-19 testing in Branch County.
The Community Health Agency is partnering with Covered Bridge Healthcare Community Mobile Clinic of Centreville this Friday to offer drive thru COVID-19 testing at the health department’s parking lot which is located at 570 Marshall Street in Coldwater.
Free testing to determine whether a person currently has COVID-19 will be offered at no charge to anyone on a first come, first served basis from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
Individuals wishing to be tested should bring a state issued ID and insurance card. Those without insurance can bring a pay stub or unemployment information.
Insurance cards will be requested and billed when possible but no copays or out of pocket expenses will be collected.
In addition, there will be COVID-19 testing this Saturday and Sunday at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
The Community Health Agency is teaming up with the Michigan National Guard, the Michigan State Police and the Michigan Deaprtment of Health and Human Services to offer the free tests to Michigan adults ages 18 and older.
Testing will be provided at no charge from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
As with the Friday testing, individuals wishing to be tested should bring a state issued ID. No insurance cards will be requested at this event.
Test results will be provided for either event in about a week. Neither event will offer antibody testing.
