BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – You have to be weather alert on Wednesday as another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected to develop Wednesday afternoon into the evening hours.
As a strong storm system approaches, the National Weather Service says some of the storms will likely be severe.
Branch and Hillsdale Counties are included in an area with the greatest risk of severe weather.
Damaging wind gusts will be the primary severe threat with a potential of wind gusts in excess of 65 mph.
According to forecasters, isolated tornadoes and large hail are also possible.
A period of dry and cooler weather is then expected through the weekend
