BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – “Bronson is so torn up”. That’s how one resident described the damage after a severe thunderstorm tore through the city on Wednesday afternoon.
Numerous streets were blocked by downed trees and power lines. Damage was reported to several homes by falling and uprooted trees.
Downed trees also caused damage at the Bronson Cemetery and at the Bronson High School tennis courts.
Despite all of the damage, no injuries were reported.
U.S. 12 had to be shut down between Washington and Division Streets for several hours.
The severe weather hit as the Bronson area was trying to recover from a Tuesday night storm.
Crews from the cities of Coldwater and Sturgis were helping Bronson workers with the clean up on Thursday.
