COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County 911 Communications Board has scheduled a special meeting for Wednesday morning to discuss staffing and wages for 911 employees.
Branch County 911 has had continuing problems over the last couple of years trying to maintain proper staffing levels.
When fully staffed, there are 11 dispatchers. At last report for one reason or another, they are down four employees.
This has led to employees putting in a lot of overtime with some dispatchers working 18 hour long shifts.
At least two dispatchers have writen blistering letters to county officials in recent days about the current situation.
