COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Monday was a day hair and tanning salons around Michigan have been looking forward to for three months.
Governor Whitmer signed an executive order on June 5th allowing for these businesses to reopen as long as coronavirus numbers continue to trend downward in Michigan.
These businesses will have to follow strict safety protocols like mask wearing, social distancing whenever possible, and proper disinfecting between each customer.
Among those opening up on Monday was Pure Envee in downtown Coldwater.
They are keeping everyone safe by having staff and clients sanitize their hands upon entering. They are asking everyone to wear masks and answer a wellness questionnaire.
Tropical Rayz Tanning Salon at 418 Marshall Street in Coldwater has also reopened after being closed for almost three months.
Hours have initially been reduced. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm, Saturdays from 8:00 am 5:00 pm and Sundays from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
You may wear a mask coming in until you get to your room if you are more comfortable. No appointment is required for tanning however if all beds are full you may wait in your car if you like and they will let you know when a bed is ready.
