COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house was held on Sunday for the Branch County Gay Pride LGBTQ Community Center at 153 Division in Coldwater.
The group’s mission is to promote cooperative efforts for social activities, to support causes of importance to the LGBTQ community and to promote the general well-being of the LGBTQ and Community.
Branch County Gay Pride has over 600 persons following its Facebook page which has gotten 590 likes.
The group was established primarily for charitable, educational and social purposes. The main purpose of Branch Pride is to promote unity, visibility, and self-esteem among the LGBTQ community and to promote a positive image in Coldwater and throughout Branch County community activities and services.
Among the events they have scheduled will be a Pride Rally in downtown Coldwater on August 29 and a Pride Festival that same day at Parkhurst Park.
