GIRARD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – There was a large clean up job at the Potawatomi Campground and Recreation Area on Saturday after a severe thunderstorm late Friday night knocked a large amount of trees onto campers and trailers.
Two Fellers Tree Service of Tekonsha was called in and numerous campers helped out their neighbors clear the debris.
The storm which some say included straight line winds hit the campground at around 10:30 p.m. Friday night while Branch County was under a severe thunderstorm warning.
Despite all of the damage, no injuries were reported and all campers were accounted for.
