BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – As part of the Kalamazoo Region, Branch County is at a “medium risk” level when it comes to the spread of COVID-19 according to the online MI Safe Start Map.
Branch County is part of the nine-county region in southwest Michigan.
The “medium-risk” level means new cases in the area have been confirmed at a rate of between three and 10 per one million people for the last two weeks.
The Lansing region has also been declared as high risk because it has been seeing 40 new cases per million people every day for one week.
The Grand Rapids region has been moved into a medium-high risk category.
Meanwhile, the Upper Peninsula and Traverse City regions remain at a low risk level while the rest of the Lower Peninsula is displayed as “medium risk.”
