COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – While the COVID-19 pandemic has cancelled a number of events this summer in Branch County, ArtWalk will be held on Saturday outside along South Monroe Street in downtown Coldwater.
There will be a collection of artists, food and music between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. in what organizers say will be a safe atmosphere.
“From what I’ve noticed, everyone is getting pretty sick of endless screen time, zoom meetings and email threads. I’m so excited that we can all get out of the house, support our local artists, musicians and restaurants, and enjoy this outdoor event.” said Arts Alive board member Stephanie Burdick.
A wide variety of art will be on display. The street will be lined with paintings, stained glass, photography, digital art, sculptures and jewelry.
The alley by Southern Roots will feature an interactive chalk wall and local restaurants will be interspersed at tables throughout the festival area.
Music will be provided by the group “Usual Suspects” between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m..
Social distancing and the use of masks are being encouraged by organizers.
ArtWalk is being presented by Arts Alive with support from the City of Coldwater and the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce.
