KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Northbound I-69 at the Michigan-Indiana border was blocked for almost two hours Sunday morning after the driver of a pickup truck and camper lost control after passing a bus and ended up rolling over.
According to the Branch County Sheriff’s Department, pickup vehicle began to slide and driver was not able to regain control. The truck and camper overturned, blocking both north bound lanes of I-69 near Stokes Road.
The driver was a 31 year old female from Marine City Michigan, with the passengers a 49 year old male and a six year old child, also from Marine City.
The older member of the family had minor injuries, and were treated on scene by Lakeland Medical First Responders and LifeCare Ambulance personnel. The child was not injured.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Lakeland Medical First Responders, LifeCare Ambulance, Michigan State Police, and Indiana State Police.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
