COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasiak says with the announcement of Jessica Drewek Miller withdrawing from the Branch County Treasurer’s race, voters who have cast an absentee ballot for Miller have the opportunity to spoil their ballot and re-vote. Any voter wishing to spoil their absentee ballot should contact their local clerk
Drewek Miller’s name remains on the ballot but she has dropped out of the race for Branch County Treasurer. She has sold her Branch County home and is moving to St. Joseph County thus making her ineligible for office.
Drewek Miller filed for the seat currently occupied by the retiring Ann Vrablic.
Still in the race are Steve Rutz and Julie Waterbury. No Democrats filed to run so the winner of the August fourth Republican primary will take over the office in January 2021.
