COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners decided during their Thursday work session to bring forward formal action to next week’s meeting on another series of bids for the construction of the new Branch County Jail.
Branch County Administrator Bud Norman said crews are continuing to make good progress towards the jail’s scheduled opening in September of 2021.
He said utlities and masonry work for the office side were about 85 percent done and the foundation was finished.
The bids scheduled to be acted on Tuesday at the recommendation of Clark Construction include such items as security sealants, fencing and gates, landscaping, flooring and painting.
