COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Officials at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility and Rehabilitation say their staff member who tested positive for COVID-19 received a second negative test on Thursday and will be able to return to work.
Maple Lawn still plans to test residents and staff again next week.
If all of the tests remain negative, they will be able to resume visits to the facility on Monday, August 3.
It was reported on Maple Lawn’s Facebook page last Sunday that the employee has worked several days in the last week in different areas of the building. Officials say the staff member was masked in all resident areas and followed all appropriate infection control practices.
Maple Lawn residents have been monitored for COVID-19. None have showed any signs or symptoms of the virus.
