BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Branch County voters will be asked to decide four ballot questions in next Tuesday’s Primary voting.
The Branch County Commission on Aging is asking for a ten year renewal of a millage that was approved in 2010. The previously voted total limitation is 0.2424 of one (1) mill. If approved and levied in full, this millage will raise an estimated $360,000 for the Branch County Commission on Aging senior center in the first calendar year of the levy based on taxable value.
Bronson Township is looking for a one mill increase for the next five years for fire protection and equipment. If approved, the increase will raise an estimated $30,000 in the first year.
Sherwood Township voters will be asked to amend the Township Zoning Ordinance by adding a new section regarding Wind Energy Conversion Systems.
Branch County voters in the Athens Area School District will be asked to renew 18 mills for operations as well as a sinking fund millage of three mills for the next five years for the construction or repair of school buildings.
