BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB/WNWN) – After not reporting any COVID-19 related deaths for nearly three weeks, the Calhoun County Public Health Department has reported two in the last two days.
The 40th Calhoun County resident to die after testing positive for the virus was reported on Wednesday.
Four new cases were also reported in Calhoun County on Wednesday which brought the number of cases in that county since the pandemic started up to 621.
Of the 100 cases that required hospitalization, seven persons were in a Calhoun County medical care facility on Wednesday.
In comparison, the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency says there have been 279 COVID-19 cases and two deaths in Branch County, 221 cases and 25 deaths in Hillsdale County and 473 cases and six deaths in Saint Joseph County
