COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Pontiac woman entered guilty pleas to a pair of felony charges in Branch County Circuit Court on Monday after authorities say she allegedly tried to defraud a local business out of a three wheeler.
A court spokeperson says 57-year-old Tracy Chandler is scheduled to be sentenced on September 14 on charges of identity theft and fraud by false pretense between $1,000 and $20,000.
She was arrested following a Michigan State Police investigation into Chandler’s alleged attempt to use another woman’s identification to buy a $33,000 vehicle.
Chandler is one of two defendants in the case.
