Phil E. Leskow, 88, of Coldwater, passed away Friday, July
31, 2020 at his home.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at
1:30 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Case officiating.
Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, prior to the service, beginning at
11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home. Please
wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Phil was born June 7, 1932 in Huntington, IN to Peter &
Francis (Ferguson) Leskow. He served
honorably in the US Army during the Korean War.
Phil married Alice M. Proxmire on January 13, 1956 in Jelico, TN.
Mr. Leskow worked several years at Ohio Art in Bryan, OH
before coming to Coldwater. He worked
many years at Quincy Products and RB&W Tool & Die, from which he
retired.
Phil was a jokester and story teller and fondly referred to
as the “Lottery King.” He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and
spent much time working on cars and tinkering, as he could fix anything.
Phil loved food and spending time with his
family, especially his grandchildren. He
loved to sing songs to his grandkids, play games and give them go cart rides.
Phil is survived by his wife Alice, his children Carmen
(Martin) Gochenour, Carey (David) Steffey, Clair “Butch” (Brenda) Leskow all of
Coldwater, his siblings Richard (Carolyn) Leskow of Toledo, OH, Joseph Leskow
of Greenwood, IN, Grace Kiessling of Erie,MI, Nellie Brown of Greenfield, IN,
Roland (Phyllis) Leskow of Defiance, OH, his grandchildren Brian (Ashley)
Gochenour, Adam (Sarah) Gochenour, Kyle (Karissa) Steffey, Andrew (Michelle)
Leskow, Erin (Josh) Emington; great grandchildren Keegan, Kaleb & Khloe
Gochenour, Cole & Grace Gochenour and Oaklyn Steffey, and many nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Paul
Evan Leskow.
